BONSALL – The Live Oak Park docents recently completed another year of offering tours and lectures to Fallbrook and Bonsall third grade students. Each year close to 450 third grade students and their teachers enjoy a day at Live Oak Park, where volunteer docents take the children, usually in groups of 20, through the park.
They learn about the early settlers who established “Fall Brook” and about the first inhabitants, the Kumeyaay Indians. The students even get to grind up a few acorns in the old grinding holes among the rocks in the park. Other points of interest discussed are the wild...
