Fallbrook student receives Emmy

LA COSTA - Tyler May, a lifetime resident of Fallbrook and 2008 Fallbrook High School graduate, received an Emmy award June 17 at the 38th annual N.A.T.A.S. Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards held at the La Costa Resort & Spa.

May, a broadcast journalism student at Palomar College in the 2011-2012 school year, received an Emmy for Outstanding Student Achievement News for his solo video piece, “Skateboard Park.”

Two other Palomar College students, Serena Reid and Nicole Anderson, received awards in the field of TV news the same night as May.

May is currently working as a full time reporter and bureau chief for KRCR TV Channel 7 out of Redding, Calif.
