Fallbrook veteran honored at Texas airport

DALLAS, TEXAS – On May 30, Fallbrook Marine Corps veteran Andrew Genninger, a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1924, was temporarily stranded in the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport along with fellow veteran, Martin Lopez of Colchester, Conn. Both men, sitting in wheelchairs, were en route to San Diego after attending the Golden Age Games in St. Louis. During the four hours the two veterans waited in front of an American Airlines gate, a female airline attendant approached the men and inquired about the Golden Age Games’ medals draped around their necks.
