Woman reported kidnapped and missing found safe

PERRIS - A 20-year-old Perris woman initially thought to be the victim of a kidnapping was home safe today.

Tina Marie Timm was located around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Moreno Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

"She was safe and unharmed," said sheriff's Sgt. Raymond Huskey. "Through further investigation, it was determined she had not been kidnapped."

Timm's boyfriend contacted sheriff's deputies Tuesday morning after receiving text messages from her saying she had been abducted by three males in a white van with curtains on the rear window, Huskey said.

The supposed location of the abduction was outside a Wal-Mart in the 25000 block of North Perris Boulevard in Moreno Valley, where Timm's boyfriend had dropped her earlier.

Surveillance video taken inside and outside of the store showed the woman alone and walking away from the outlet around 11 a.m., according to sheriff's officials.

Huskey said investigators still want to know where the woman was for the last 24 hours and asked anyone with information to call the Perris station at (951) 210-1000.
