FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Garden Club recently presented two $1,000 scholarships to deserving local students and honored the organization’s outgoing president, Joy McCormack.
The scholarships were presented to Benjamin Fliegler who is matriculating in environmental science at Humboldt State University, and Margaret Maratsos who is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental horticultural science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
The garden club’s next event will be its annual summer picnic at Live Oak Park on Wednesday, Aug. 8 starting at 4 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.fallbrookgardenclub.org.
