PERRIS (Wire Service) - Deputies arrested two motorists for suspicion of drunken driving and impounded seven vehicles during an overnight drunken driving checkpoint that ended today (July 21) in Perris, a sheriff's spokesman said.
The checkpoint was set up from 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. today on Perris Boulevard at Commerce Drive, said sheriff's Sgt. Danny Lingo.
Deputies made five other arrests for misdemeanor warrants and issued one child safety seat citation, he said.
There were 832 vehicles screened with deputies giving seven sobriety tests, according to Lingo....
