SAN DIEGO - Scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms are expected in mountain and desert areas of San Diego County today, forecasters said.
According to the National Weather Service, the unstable weather will continue in the deserts through Sunday but likely start decreasing in the mountains by Wednesday. Isolated flash flooding is possible as a result of the expected thunderstorms, according to the NWS.
Elsewhere in the county, the Weather Service forecast partly cloudy skies today.
Temperature highs today are expected to be in 68 to 73 degrees near the coast, 75 to 80 inland, 76 to 81 in the western valleys, 83 to 88 near the foothills, 76 to 86 in the mountains and 95 to 100 in the deserts.
