Aussies among Fallbrook Junior Open tennis champs

While Skyler Schaar only had to travel from her Fallbrook home to the Fallbrook Tennis Club to win a championship at the 27th Annual Fallbrook Junior Open Tournament, Rene Boyton and Kyra Carlyon made the trip from Australia and returned home with division titles.

Boyton and Carlyon were among six Australians who participated in the July 9 to 13 tournament.

“This is the third time that this coach has brought a group,” said tournament organizer Dorothy Roth. “They just like it and keep coming back.”
