Excessive heat warning til 9 pm, monsoonal moisture to bring scattered afternoon thunderstorms

RIVERSIDE - Monsoonal moisture will bring scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms to the mountain and far inland valley areas of Riverside County today, as another day of hot and humid weather blankets the entire region, forecasters said.

According the National Weather Service, high pressure and monsoonal moisture will continue the hot humid weather through today, before a weak trough of low pressure over the Eastern Pacific brings minor cooling and a little less humidity for the middle part of the week.
