Monsoonal moisture to bring scattered thunderstorms to mountain and desert areas, excessive heat warning to 9 pm

SAN DIEGO - Monsoonal moisture will bring scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms to the mountain and desert areas of San Diego County today, as another day of hot and humid weather blankets the region, forecasters said.

According the National Weather Service, high pressure and monsoonal moisture will continue the hot humid weather through today, before a weak trough of low pressure over the Eastern Pacific brings minor cooling and a little less humidity in the middle of week.
