FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Historical Society and the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club will present The History of the Automobile in Fallbrook, this Sunday, Aug. 19, from 2 to 4:00 p.m. at the museum grounds, located at the corner of Rocky Crest Road and Hill Street.

The event includes a display of vintage cars, a narrated slide show of Fallbrook‘s first cars set against the backdrop of historic downtown’s early buildings, a visual history of the Vintage Car Club’s development and purpose, and remarks by Fallbrook’s own Dode Martin, famous Dragmaster creator and drag racer.

Tour the museum buildings, Ford Room (antique Ford cars), rock and mineral collection, and view the agriculture-through-the-years displays.

The event will end with an old-fashioned ice cream social, featuring both homemade apple pie and homemade ice cream.

The event and ice cream social are free to the general public.

Parking will be available at the Masonic Lodge (Rocky Crest Road), the real estate building at corner of Rocky Crest and S. Mission, and across S. Mission at the dirt lot at the corner of Pepper Tree Ln. A shuttle service will be available from the parking areas to the museum grounds.
