Approximately 50 attend Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary fundraiser

The Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary provides an alternative for potential cruelty to animals, so cruelty to magician’s assistants at sanctuary fundraisers may be acceptable even to the assistant herself.

During his 40-minute performance at an August 4 fundraiser Anthony Hernandez, known professionally as Anthony the Magic, instructed assistant Dawn Morgan to go into a basket. Hernandez then placed swords into the basket, although Morgan escaped injury.

“No harm to the animals,” Morgan said.
