Diabetes class series offered in September

FALLBROOK - Fallbrook Hospital’s Diabetes Class Series will be held on Thursdays, September 6 through 27, from 10 a.m. to noon in the hospital’s Conference Room B, 624 E. Elder Street.

The classes are for those with Type II Diabetes or pre-diabetes, and incorporate AADE’s 7 Self Care Behaviors: Healthy Eating, Being Active, Taking Medication, Monitoring, Problem Solving, Reducing Risks and Healthy Coping.

The series will be presented by a multidisciplinary team including a certified diabetes educator. The classes are designed to provide information, promote skill development, and encourage goal setting.

The $10 cost includes materials and light refreshments. Advance reservations are required by August 31.
