Thunderstorm warning issued today for North San Diego and Southern Riverside counties

At 12:43 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a significant weather advisory regarding an incoming thunderstorm that is expected to impact North San Diego and Southern Riverside counties today.

The greatest time frame for consideration is until 1:45 p.m.

Experts said "A strong thunderstorm currently nine miles west of Palomar Mountain or 11 miles southeast of Temecula is moving west at 5 miles per hour. Wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are expected with this storm, along with heavy rain."
