Hearing Friday for trio accused of beating taxi driver

Three men accused of severely beating a female taxi driver during a robbery near Hemet will ask a judge Friday to reduce their bail.

Robert Donovan Norton, 21, Roy Fernando Quintana, 19, and Marquis Davel White, 21 -- all of East Hemet -- are charged with kidnapping, torture, aggravated mayhem and robbery with great bodily injury allegations in connection with an Aug. 22 attack.

Norton and White are being held in lieu of $3 million bail, while Quintana is being held without bail at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.

All are scheduled to appear with their attorneys Friday before Rivers...
