Kroeger will coach varsity boys basketball

When the high school basketball season begins in November, John Kroeger will make his debut as Fallbrook High School’s boys varsity head coach.

Kroeger succeeds Jeff Brandow, who is now the athletic director at San Luis Obispo High School.

“It’s very exciting for me,” Kroeger said.

Although Kroeger has varsity coaching experience, the 2000 Fallbrook graduate has been only an assistant coach at the school he attended. “When I was in high school I never thought that was where I’d be now,” he said of being Fallbrook’s head coach.
