Prepare for an emergency with CERT

FALLBROOK – Residents can learn how to prepare for when the lights go out and how to help themselves, their families and others in any emergency situation by attending all four Saturday classes presented by North County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) next month. The classes include priceless information including disaster preparedness, fire safety, basic disaster response skills and basic disaster medical operations to help prepare people for an emergency situation.

CERT will be teaching its powerful basic CERT class series starting this September on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Classes will be held on Sept. 8, 15 and 22. A drill will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 8a.m. to noon to reinforce those newly learned skills. The classes and drill will be held at First Christian Church, 318 W. Fig Street.
