FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Music Society is proud to kickoff its 35th anniversary year and new season with the Redlands Symphony on Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Bob Burton Center for Performing Arts on the Fallbrook High School campus.
Exceptional Russian pianist Anastasiya Timofeeva will perform with the orchestra in a work of dramatic power: Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. One of Tchaikovsky’s most popular compositions, it is among the best known of all piano concerti, and has become a favorite among concert pianists, orchestras, and audiences world-wide. Paired with the Concerto for Orchestra, one of composer Bartók’s best-known, most popular and most accessible works, this concert promises to be exciting and dynamic, with broad appeal to classical music fans.
Timofeeva began her musical studies at the age of 4 and was accepted into the esteemed Voronezh State Music College in Russia, a music school for gifted youth. She has performed with Voronezh Symphony Orchestra multiple times, and she is the recipient of several awards.
The season opener also marks the beginning of conductor Jon Robertson’s 30th anniversary season with the Redlands Symphony.
