A fire that started on a stove top today in a Fallbrook home quickly spread to engulf the kitchen, causing $25,000 in estimated damages.
The blaze started at approximately 11;39 a.m. inside a home in the 1300 block of Friends Way (near Calavo Road and Pepper Tree Lane), said John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.
"Fortunately firefighters were able to keep the fire isolated to the kitchen area," said Buchanan, who added that it took approximately 30 minutes to get the blaze fully extinguished.
