Clocker Moment wins in 24th start

Clocker Moment, who was foaled in Bonsall and has trained at the San Luis Rey Downs Thoroughbred Training Center throughout his life, won his first race in his 24th career start.

The five-year-old gelding won the seventh race Sept. 2 at Golden Gate Fields, finishing 2 1/4 lengths ahead of second-place Old Memories in the six-furlong maiden claiming race for three-year-olds and upward.

“It was the easiest company though, that he’s ever run against,” said trainer Sam Semkin.
