Live the Forth won her race on the first day of the Fairplex meet in Pomona.
The 3-year-old filly stabled at the San Luis Rey Downs Training Center won the fifth race Sept. 7.
“It’s always good to start a meet like that,” said Edward Freeman, who is both the trainer and owner of Live the Forth. “It takes a lot of pressure off, particularly with your own horse.”
Live the Forth had been Freeman’s horse for about a month prior to the Fairplex race. She ran in an Aug. 5 claiming race at the Santa Rosa fair meet, and Freeman claimed her from David Besenfelder and Carina Jauregui for $3,200.
