Warrior field hockey wins in sudden-death overtime

Fallbrook High School’s field hockey team only lost four games last year while winning the CIF Division I championship. This year the Warriors lost two games to begin the season before obtaining their first win Sept. 11 at home against Poway.

“I think the difference was we had more ball control,” Fallbrook coach Kirstin Mueller said of the win compared to the two losses.

Mueller also cited passing as a difference between the results in Fallbrook’s first two games and in the victory. “We looked up before we passed,” she said.
