Apparently Lee Racey forgot to read his letter (September 27) before submitting it. Specifically, the President of the United States is not the head of the Democratic Party: Antonio Villaraigosa is. Neither President Obama nor Villaraigosa is a socialist, but both are progressive (which I prefer) rather than being regressive.

Racey opines that Greg Millard should do some research to avoid becoming a “dupe.” Racey should have taken his own advice and do some research before labeling President Obama a socialist. Earlier, Rick Perry had called President Obama a socialist, earning a “pants on fire...
