Also serving the communities of De Luz, Rainbow, Camp Pendleton, Pala and Pauma
One thing you can say about Anza is that as a community, it is diverse, so it should be no surprise to learn that there are some special bulls living here. They are known as the Westcoast Bucking Bulls.
Westcoast Bucking Bulls is owned and operated by Nick and Lynn Nuciforo, who have been raising bucking bulls for rodeos since 2004.
“It is Nick’s passion,” said Lynn Nuciforo. “He loves to talk about his bulls.”
Nick is the real deal, a life-long cowboy who grew up in Anza and followed the rodeo circuit beginning at age 17.
“I remember riding all weekend, bulls and broncos, and bringing home only $500,” said Nick.
When he retired, he decided to turn his love for bulls into a business. His prize bull, High Octane Hurricane, has amassed enough points to go to the finals in Vegas in a few weeks.
“He is going to the finals in a few weeks,” said Nick, “and so he will not be featured at Pala this weekend...”
High Octane Hurricane can be seen on a video clip on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) website. Westcoast Bucking Bulls’ Boo Boo Berry and Mr. Smith will be bucking at Pala both days this weekend for PBR.
