Although Fallbrook High School’s football team lost its Oct. 5 Avocado East League opener against San Pasqual, the Warrior defense pleased Fallbrook fans as well as Fallbrook head coach Joe Silvey.
“The defense played well,” Silvey said. “I’ve seen a lot of improvement on that side over the course of the season, and they put us in a position to win the game.”
San Pasqual’s 8-6 win at Fallbrook’s field saw the Golden Eagles score their second-quarter touchdown after an interception return to Fallbrook’s one-yard-line. “They punched it in from there,” Silvey said.
