North County Fire Protection District, the Fallbrook Firefighters Association, Kairin Clinic, and the Care to Wear Pink organization hosted the 5k as well as a visit from pink firetrucks. Proceeds raised by the Fallbrook Firefighters Association ($2,500) were donated to local resident Patty Christensen who is currently fighting end stage breast cancer.
