Body Found in Riverside

RIVERSIDE - Police are investigating how a body ended up today at a vacant field, a Riverside police sergeant said.

Riverside police officers received a 6:59 a.m. call of the discovery near Tyler Street and Jurupa Avenue, Riverside Police Department Sgt. David Amador said.

It's was not immediately known for how long the body was at the location, but Amador said that because of its condition the gender, age and race of the person was not immediately determined.
