Temecula bank robber suspect believed to be 'Desperate Bandit' who has robbed six other banks

TEMECULA - The suspect who robbed a Temecula bank on Oct. 15 is believed to be the same as the "Desperate Bandit" (Named by the FBI) who has hit six other locations in Orange County and one Corona, according to Sgt. Jon Wade.

The suspect is still at large.

TEMECULA - (SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE) On Monday, October 15th, 2012, at 2:37 PM, officers from the Temecula Police Department arrived at the Pacific Trust Bank, on Ynez Rd., Temecula regarding a bank robbery. The investigation revealed a white male adult, mid-to-late forties had entered the bank and handed a teller a note stating he had a weapon with him and demanding money.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the location on foot, and was last seen running through the parking lot. No one inside the bank was injured.

The suspect was seen wearing a forest green shirt, khaki pants, a white baseball style cap and was carrying a black briefcase. He had short hair and no facial hair.
