RIVERSIDE - A Riverside woman missing for more than a month was murdered, her remains located in a field, authorities said today.
Kimberly Lynn Dow, 30, was last seen Sept. 9 by her mother, who reported her missing two weeks later.
According to Riverside police, Dow's body was found Monday night in a field near Jurupa Avenue and Tyler Street.
''Ms. Dow's death has been determined to be the result of homicide,'' said Riverside police Sgt. David Amador.
No other details were disclosed.
Amador said Dow had been living with 35-year-old Thomas James Fulk of Riverside at his father's home in the 2800 block of Irving Street, near Arlington High School.
Detectives have tried to contact Fulk several times, but he has been ''actively avoiding contact by law enforcement,'' Amador said.
Fulk has felony convictions for burglary and possession of controlled substances, as well as misdemeanor convictions for spousal abuse and battery, according to court records.
Fulk is on probation for the burglary, to which he pleaded guilty in August 2011. The plea agreement called for a year in jail, but he only served half of that.
An arrest warrant alleging probation violations was issued for Fulk two weeks ago.
Anyone with more information about Dow or Fulk was urged to call Detectives Jim Simons or Jim Brandt at (951) 353-7138 or (951) 353-7137.
