RIVERSIDE - Despite some talk about withdrawing membership, Riverside County supervisors decided instead today to ask that the director of the California State Association of Counties explain why the body persuaded the governor to veto a bill that would have restored much-needed funds to four local cities.
''Because of that veto, we have cities that are in economic limbo,'' said Supervisor Jeff Stone, who requested a public discussion about CSAC's recent action on Assembly Bill 1098. ''CSAC still doesn't understand the ... horrific damage that has been done to our cities and the county.''
