Oceanside tops Fallbrook at Senior Challenge Cribbage match

FALLBROOK - The Oceanside Senior Center Cribbage team won the September 27 match with 72 game wins against the Fallbrook team’s 68 wins.

DeForest Mayo took individual honors by winning all seven games. Nicki Newvine of Oceanside won six games. Fallbrook players Ed Wozniak, Obie Weeks, Mike Duffy and Tom Bongard each had five wins with a skunk.

The monthly matches are played at the Vista Elks Lodge 1947 E Vista Way, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The next match will be on October 25. The Elks Lodge serves lunch beginning at 11:15 a.m.
