Vote "No" on Prop BB

Vote “No” on Prop BB. It is not in the best interest of either Fallbrook or Bonsall students. The establishment of a specialized program in Bonsall will adversely impact the programs and services currently accessible by all students.

Bonsall does not plan to offer its students athletics, visual and performing arts, agriculture, or career-technical education courses such as wood, metal, and auto.

Instead, it relies on other school districts, such as the Fallbrook Union High School District, to provide these educational options; educational options that will be reduced and/or eliminated due to a loss of funding.

Fallbrook High School is not overcrowded. Enrollment peaked near 3,000 students six years ago. Current enrollment is slightly above 2,500 students. There are currently seven unused classrooms on the campus and not all classrooms are used every period. The State of California says the capacity of the school is over 4,000 students.

The San Diego County Office of Education, the California Department of Education, and the State Board of Education did not approve unification. They approved the process continuing so that it could go before the voters. Each board member and the superintendent have either signed the “Argument Against Proposition BB,” the “Rebuttal to the Argument for Proposition BB,” or both. They know and understand Proposition BB is not good for students. Vote “No” on Proposition BB.
