FALLBROOK – VFW Post 1924 is sponsoring Fallbrook’s Veterans Day Parade on Monday, Nov. 12. The parade starts at Fallbrook and Main streets at 10:15 a.m. and proceeds to the Village Square, where a commemorative program will begin at 11 a.m. Grand Marshall will be long time Fallbrook resident Jack Parkinson (USN).
The guest speaker will be GySgt Kris McCullough, who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, and who is now data chief for the 1st Marine Division on Camp Pendleton. The Fallbrook High School band and the Fallbrook Chorale will be performing. All Boy Scout troops, Girl Scout troops, and patriotic groups are encouraged to participate (any questions, call (760) 728-8784).
There will be many different types of military vehicles in the parade and children are invited to explore them when the vehicles stop at Main and Alvarado streets following the parade.
