The San Diego County Board of Supervisors authorized the advertisement for bid and subsequent award of a construction contract to install a traffic signal at the intersection of South Mission Road and Aviation Road and to provide 4,500 feet of new cabling to interconnect that signal with three existing signals.
The supervisors’ 5-0 vote October 10 also appropriated $527,800 from a Highway Safety Improvement Program grant into the project’s budget. The work also includes constructing pedestrian ramps at South Mission Road and West Aviation Road.
