FALLBROOK – The long anticipated world-class Galaxy of Glass show, which opened to rave reviews at the Fallbrook Art Center in September, was forced to close a week early due to extensive damage to the first floor area of the Art Center caused by a broken water valve.
Mary Perhacs, executive director of the center, arrived at work Oct. 15 to find the facility flooded with two inches of water wall-to-wall. The water valve coming into the building (circa 1961) broke sometime Oct. 14 causing thousands of gallons of water to flow unabated into the center.
