Patricia Joy Christensen

Patricia Joy Christensen passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 in Fallbrook, Calif. with her family by her side. After her valiant fight with breast cancer in 1987, Patty’s battle was re-diagnosed in August 2011.

Patty was born to Robert and Rachel Davis on Oct. 15, 1943 in Van Nuys, Calif. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 40 years, Bob Christensen.

She leaves behind her daughter Rachel and husband Colin Murray; son Matthew and wife Jaimie Christensen; daughter Lisa and husband Jose Tagle-Nava; and son Paul and wife Hillary Christensen. Also her five wonderful grandchildren: Ava and Caitlyn Murray; Elizabeth and Christian Tagle-Nava; and Baylee Christensen.

Patty was a loving wife, mother, friend, nana, and will truly be missed. She had such a kind and joyful heart to all those that knew her. While living in Fallbrook for over 40 years, Patty has touched many lives. She worked as a stay-at-home mom, Children’s Ministry Director at Fallbrook Presbyterian and most recently retired from Fallbrook Union High School as an English teacher. She was devoted to her family, her Bible Study, her book club and her knitting group.

The family invites all of Patty’s friends, family and people that knew her to attend memorial services held at North Coast Church in Vista, Calif. on Friday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m.
