County's Unemployment Rate Unchanged Last Month

RIVERSIDE - Riverside County's unemployment rate was unchanged last month at 12 percent, as job growth in most sectors offset sizable losses in others.

The county's non-seasonally adjusted jobless rate in October did not fluctuate from September, according to the California Employment Development Department.

The rate, however, was 1.5 percentage points below the level of a year ago, when unemployment stood at 13.5 percent.

Riverside County's civilian labor force numbered 937,300 people, with 112,700 out of work, according to figures.
