Fallbrook residents who visit the Metropolitan Opera House in New York may see a familiar face on the poster for Il Trouvatore.
Travis Wojcik, who played football and wrestled for Fallbrook High School before graduating in 1998, is the anvil player on the poster.
“They have me on the poster, which is a trip,” Wojcik said. “It’s really exciting. I’m getting people asking me for autographs now.”
During the Metropolitan Opera’s two previous runs of Il Trouvatore, Wojcik was on the calendar. The 2012-13 run is the first with Wojcik on the poster in front of the opera house.
