Retired Teachers honor veterans

FALLBROOK – At a recent brunch meeting, California Retired Teachers honored veterans by hearing photo journalist Noah Tafolla talk about San Diego military history and the importance of recording people’s memories of times past.

Carol Carpenter and Ann Harris displayed a quilt honoring veterans who have lost their lives protecting Americans’ liberties. The quilt was made by members of the Fallbrook Quilt Guild and will be displayed at west coast events and eventually country-wide....
