FALLBROOK – Brandon Gallery launches its winter art season with a special exhibition of locally produced crafts and art objects, Noreen Ring, gallery director announced.
Ring said, “Many art patrons in the area want small, one-of-a-kind pieces as gifts for family and friends. To meet their demands this holiday, we’ve broadened our collection of handcrafted items to include more fabric art, custom jewelry and gourds from local artists.”
She said that the added emphasis on objects d’art coincides with displaying museum-quality pieces created by well-known local artists at lower price points. To accommodate bringing in new artists and craft creators, Brandon is devoteing the entire back section of the gallery and its Studio 105 wing for collectible art selected for gift giving.
The winter showcase opened Nov. 27 and runs through Jan. 5, 2013, when Brandon reverts to traditional gallery shows around featured and member artists.
Brandon Gallery, a non-profit artists’ cooperative, is located at 105 N. Main, one door off Alvarado St., and at http://www.fallbrookbrandongallery.org. Holiday hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
