Rosie Beck died peacefully in her home, Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at 1:39 a.m. She was 84 years old. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Beck. They had just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in November.
She is also survived by her four children, Charles, Sidney, Susan and Gary Beck. She also left behind 16 grandkids, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Rosie was born June 4, 1928 in Grosta, Germany. She moved to Logan, Utah at the age of 3. This is where she met her husband Calvin. After the war, they moved to California. Finally settling in Garden Grove where they spent the next 30 years. Then they moved to Fallbrook, Calif. where she spent the rest of her life.
She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and had a very strong faith in the Mormon Church. She will always be remembered for her amazing cooking, baking and canning skills. Rosie was a loving and caring person and touched many lives and had many friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to watch baseball and was a big fan of the Angels and Padres.
She was a hard worker and helped her husband with their automotive business for many years. Rosie had many talents, such as making beautiful wedding cakes and porcelain dolls, crocheting beautiful afghan blankets and often made clothing for the family. She was the best part of “good.” She loved going camping with her family. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Mormon Church in Fallbrook at 621 S. Stage Coach Lane.
