MORENO VALLEY (CNS) - A Moreno Valley Walmart was evacuated today, Dec. 24, after a man who appeared to be armed entered, a sheriff's spokesman said.
Someone reported a "suspicious person'' wearing camouflage-type clothing entering the Walmart at 12721 Moreno Beach Drive about 6 a.m., Deputy Joshua Morales said.
"Some eyewitnesses were saying he was holding an M16-type assault weapon or shotgun-type weapon. We're not able to confirm if they were replica weapons or real weapons,'' Morales said.
