SAN JACINTO - A license plate check on a sport compact car resulted in the arrest today, Dec. 29 of a Hemet man for suspicion of car theft, a police sergeant said.
The plate check on the Mitsubishi Eclipse showed it had been stolen out of Cabazon, prompting a sheriff's deputy to pull the vehicle over at 10th Street and Santa Fe Avenue in San Jacinto at about 10:14 a.m., Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Santiago Agcaoili said.
