FALLBROOK – Four new 900-lb. steel plates have been installed along the four-block long Pico Promenade path in order to increase safety for walkers, joggers, and strollers.
The project was made possible by the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance (FBA), which provided the funds and manpower. The old coverings on the drainage points had been stolen by vandals.
Russ Heyneman volunteered his time to oversee the installation project. Fallbrook Equipment Rental assisted in the effort by donating the use of a forklift required to position the new, heavier steel plates.
