Official: County's Tech Workforce Expected to Shrink 9 Percent

RIVERSIDE - Over the next 18 months, Riverside County's technology workforce will be reduced by about 9 percent, according to a report that the Board of Supervisors reviewed today.

Following up on a Jan. 15 brief he submitted to the board, Chief Information Officer Kevin Crawford provided an addendum that indicated efforts to consolidate the county's disparate technology units would result in a reduction of around 60 positions through either layoffs or attrition.
