Man fatally shot by officers in Temecula identified as John Armes of Fallbrook

TEMECULA - Riverside County Coroner's Office has identified the parolee as John Armes, 29, of Fallbrook.

On Monday, Feb. 11, at 12:35 p.m., officers from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Office of Correctional Safety, Fugitive Apprehension Team in conjunction with the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force were in the 40200 Block of Mimulus Way, Temecula. The officers were attempting an arrest of a parolee at large wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, stated Deputy Albert Martinez in a release.
