Homicide investigators look into death of 77-year-old Lake Elsinore man

LAKE ELSINORE - The death of a 77-year-old Lake Elsinore man from a traumatic injury was under investigation as a homicide, a Riverside County sheriff's sergeant said.

Officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department were called to the 1000 block of Dolly Drive just after 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 regarding an unattended death, according to Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero of the sheriff's Central Homicide Unit.

"Officers found a male who'd sustained traumatic injury to his body,'' Buompensiero said. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
