SAN JACINTO - A man entered a San Jacinto business and struck a store clerk as he and his female accomplice fled with merchandise, a sergeant said today.
Sheriff's deputies received a call shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday about the robbery, in the 1600 block of South San Jacinto Avenue. The clerk tried questioning the pair about an apparent shoplifting and was attacked, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Santiago Agcaoili said.
The man bolted out of the business along with a woman who carried an untold amount of stolen goods, the sergeant said. Both suspects evaded capture.
