O'Leary, Martin honored by Rotary

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Union Elementary School District superintendent Candace Singh presented Mark O’Leary and Rebecca Martin as employees of the month to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook at a recent weekly meeting.

O’Leary has been with the district since 1990, serving as a substitute custodian initially, shortly thereafter as a night custodian at Maie Ellis School, and since 2004 as day custodian at Fallbrook Street School. He was recognized for this upbeat, enthusiastic attitude and his desire to make his school as beautiful and clean as possible.

Martin has been a teacher in the school district since 1999 and at Live Oak Elementary School since 2007. She was recognized for going above and beyond her responsibilities to meet the needs of every student, especially those with special needs. She was described as a dedicated, caring, and effective instructional leader who helps staff effectively work with students who have emotional and social needs.

The employee of the month program is part of the ongoing effort by Fallbrook Rotary to achieve, maintain and reward excellence in the employees of the Fallbrook school system. To learn more, visit
