Fallbrook Senior Center hosts 12th annual Avocado Cribbage Tournament

FALLBROOK – Great Fallbrook weather greeted 78 cribbage players on March 2 at the 12th annual Avocado Cribbage Tournament held at the Fallbrook Senior Center.

The finals of the main tournament had the same two players as last year’s tournament - Cy Madrone of Santa Barbara and Arlene Shaw of Tustin. Again, Madrone won the tournament, his third victory in the 12 matches.

Fallbrook avocados were plentiful again this year as a result of donations from local packing companies Calavo Growers and Del Rey Packing. Each player took home a bag of avocados with handouts from the California Avocado...
